According to the EPA, radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. — right behind smoking. Long-term exposure to high radon levels can damage your lungs even if you’ve never smoked.

The EPA recommends action if levels are 4.0 pCi/L or higher, but many homeowners choose to fix levels even lower than that.
